A Church Without Walls

Born of Conviction: White Methodists and Mississippi’s Closed Society

There are always many reasons to celebrate Rev. Jack Troutman but this week I wanted to lift up a recently published book that tells the story of his, and other pastors’, resistance to segregation. The author, Joseph Reiff, spent a lot of time interviewing and researching so that he could fully honor this story. So please, pick up a copy of Born of Conviction: White Methodists and Mississippi’s Closed Society soon. If there is enough demand, we may even convince Jack to offer a little book signing for us. 😉
